Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in and desire to make the most of life! People attend My Next Chapter® not because their life is unsatisfying, but because they want a practical and proven way to create the best possible future for themselves.

Previous participants have included attorneys, full-time volunteers, those new to the workforce, stock brokers, stay-at-home moms, consultants, clergy -- in other words, people from all walks of life.
 
I like my life already! How can this help me?
We all have more demands than we have time. The problem is how to accomplish what matters most without shortchanging the people most important to you.

My Next Chapter® provides the opportunity and the process to fine tune your life and create your best possible situation.

I'd like to attend, but I am overwhelmed!  I have no time for myself!
Who does have extra time today?   My Next Chapter® was created for exactly this reason. 

Achieving greater control and purpose does not mean shirking responsibilities.  In fact, by not taking the time to gain a sense of control and purpose means you're less likely to be yourself and to use your gifts to their fullest. 
Without a plan, life just “happens”! 

How does it work?
Step 1 is to chose a session and get signed-up.  If there’s not a session close to you or at a workable time, let us know! We can create one!

In advance of your session, you will complete the Life-Skills Assessment, a short test that diagnosis your interests and skills. You’ll also choose a small group of friends and colleagues who will complete the assessment for you. Don’t worry, it’s short and easy (less than 10 minutes!).

During the 2-Day workshop you’ll complete a variety of exercises developed by Dr. Penny from years of research. Each adds to your understanding of yourself, your priorities, and what makes you unique and special.

By then end of 2 days you will have a clear diagnosis of who you are, what makes you happy, and where you want and need to go in the future.
 
I’ve been through Myers-Briggs.  I know what "type" I am.  Not another one!
My Next Chapter® will NOT tell you what box you fit into. Instead, the process is built on the fact that each participant is unique and your goals, desires, and sources of happiness change over time.  The process provides you with a self-discovery process, one that you can continue to use long after the session ends.

When and where are sessions held?
Sessions are scheduled around the country, but many participants come to session they have created by assembling a small group of friends.

Why a workshop? Could I do this on my own?
No one can create a plan for the future alone. Why? We all need a new perspective from time to time in order to see things clearly. By working with others you will more accurately understand yourself -- and help them more accurately understand themselves!
The atmosphere in every workshop is open, friendly, and supportive. Participants leave sessions with new friends, and many decide to meet on their own after the 2-day workshop, to continue helping and supporting each other.
 
Is this appropriate for a group of friends or a club?
Yes! Whether you attend with people you’ve never met or bring together your own group, the insights you gain will be new and dramatic.
 
What do I wear?  What do I bring?
Wear casual, comfortable clothes.
You don’t need to bring anything -- we will provide all the materials, including a notebook and pens.
